Managing Director Receptionist
Phil served his apprenticeship at Jack Barclay Ltd. working on Rolls Royce and Bentley motor cars. In 1979 he took up the position of Reception Engineer dealing with clients, estimating and invoicing etc. In 1982 he worked for The German Car Centre Ltd. as Service Manager and then became General Manager before leaving to start The German Motor Company in 1984. Jacquie left school in 1982 and was employed at Vandenwal Motors which later became the first "Putney Ford".  During her time at this franchise dealer, Jacquie gained a wealth of experience dealing with warranty claims, workshop control and general administration procedures throughout the garage trade. Jacquie joined the German Motor Company from Putney Ford in 1986 and has been running our reception ever since.

Workshop Supervisor Technician
Dave originally served his apprenticeship on Daimler/Jaguar and moved to Jack Barclay Ltd. in 1978 where he worked in their British Leyland workshops.  When Jack Barclay (now Dovercourt) changed franchises to Volkswagen Audi, Dave attended many factory training courses and soon became one of their most respected senior technicians. David left Barclay's in 1982 to work for the German Car Centre Ltd. and then joined with our Managing Director to play a key role in forming The German Motor Company in 1984. Dave is responsible for the day to day running of our workshops, road tests our customers cars and is responsible for overall quality control. Bob served his apprenticeship in Glasgow working for a Vauxhall/Toyota dealership that had just changed from Volkswagen Audi. Through out his early years he continued to work on VW/ Audi cars until the new dealership became established. Bob has a wealth of knowledge of European cars, having worked for Peugeot/Austin Rover dealers and for the last 11 years has been working for a Clapham based garage where he has gained an extensive knowledge of German cars in particular.

Technician Car Valet / Driver
Gregory began his career in the trade over 30 years ago, working on Fiats, Alfa Romeo and in later years at The Chelsea Workshop on Rolls Royce and Bentley cars. He has since worked for Maxwell Green and Merctech where again he has increased his experience with all makes of German cars. Marty has spent 30 years in our trade as an experienced welder/panel beater and for the last 15 years worked at a local garage in Barnes that specializes in car restoration work. Due to health reasons Marty had to give up laying underneath motors all day and he now looks after our car cleaning and driving work. Any customers who meet Marty will know that their car is being driven by safe hands. He has a warming personality that makes you feel as if you have known him for years - it seems like we have!

Technician Technician
Guilliano joined us in October 1999 and holds the City & Guilds Part 3 and has considerable training in diagnostic techniques, battery and charging systems and electrical auxiliaries. He holds four "A" Levels - clever chap. Gilly also spent 3 years working for the US Navy. After gaining considerable experience from various garages, Matthew became part of our workforce in 1993. To date he has built up an extensive knowledge of all German cars and repair procedures.
